Web and code

Web design and development

From a single page to a web application with its own database and accounts, built from Wellington for businesses anywhere in Aotearoa New Zealand.

What is delivered

Web applications
Bespoke applications with their own data, accounts and integrations, for the work a business runs on.
WordPress and Shopify
Custom builds on the platforms businesses already know, with the theme, the plugins and the hosting handled.
Single-page sites
One page that says what the business does and how to reach it, on its own domain.
Integrations
Custom development and API work against the systems a business already runs: accounting, bookings, CRM, events platforms.
Hosting and care
Domains, hosting, backups and updates, kept running after launch.

Measuring what a site brings in is digital marketing.

How a booking runs

  1. Email with what the site or application has to do, and roughly when.
  2. Expect questions: who uses it, what it connects to, what exists already.
  3. A written scope and a fixed price. Larger builds in stages, each priced.
  4. Design, then build, with the work visible as it goes.
  5. Launch on the domain, with the hand-over and the access in writing.

How it is priced

A fixed price against a written scope. Larger applications are staged, each stage priced before it starts. Hosting and care after launch are a yearly figure, agreed at the scope. Changes beyond the scope are quoted before they are made.

The work

Brewing competition software, a multi-tenant web application with its own database, accounts and automated tests, openbrew.nz. A club's member platform, rebuilt from WordPress with a companion mobile app, valleybrewer.nz, and its judge-training course behind a login, learn.valleybrewer.nz. An education app for children, curiouskea.nz. The site of an annual homebrewing competition, euroclash.nz. Custom websites with the databases, CRM and platform integrations behind them.
