Water Treatment

1 teaspoon Cal Sulphate and 1/2 teaspoon Cal Chloride to mash water, 6 drops Lactic Acid 88% to sparge water

Boil Additions

1/2 teaspoon yeast nutrient and 1/2 whirlfloc tablet at 10 min to go in boil

Brew

  • Mash in at 67°C with 18L, rest for 60 min at 67°C.
  • Mash out: 75C for 10 min
  • Sparge with 16L at 75°C
  • Preboil size 28L
  • Boil time 60mins
  • Postboil size 26L
  • Fermenter volume 24L

Notes

A repeat of a successful recipe with change to hop addition, using Superdelic Cryo for whirlpool and dry hop additions. Cut volume from 200gm to 100gm. Also increased mash volume 0.5L to 18L and Sparge by 1L to 16L, but no boil additions (prev 2L). Achieved a higher IG of 1.061 (previously 1.056) same grain feed.
