Brew

  • Mash in at 67.5°C with 16.5L, rest for 60 min at 67.5°C.
  • Mash out: 10min @ 75C
  • Sparge with 16L at 75°C
  • Preboil size 29L
  • Boil time 75mins
  • Postboil size 25L
  • Fermenter volume 24L

Fermentation

18.5C for 5 days, Dry Hop approx. day 3 when gravity drops just below 1.020, raise to 21C for rest.

Notes

SMaSH beer with Golden Promise grain, Krush hops, and Pomona Yeast.

Brew went well, 24L in fermenter at 1.059.

fermentation began quickly, easing off at 1.019 after 2 days. I opted for a slightly higher mash temp aiming for higher final gravity than normal.

Fermentation easing off at around 1.019

dry hop added at 1.018 Monday 21st evening to allow hop creep etc to clean up with end of fermentation.

Temperature raised to 21C Wednesday 23rd.
